lessons from Domino and our tribute sale
Dear friends:
I just received my last Domino magazine in the mail. It was a fabulous issue, of course. What a loss to design lovers everywhere! I have spoken with several of you about the shared love we had for this one-of-a-kind magazine and the contribution it made to our collective design consciousness. Quite honestly, Domino helped inspire me to open Furbish. I felt that there was an audience for a new approach to interiors that I was already exploring in my design business. Here are the two key lessons from Domino that I will carry with me:
Mix styles with aplomb. As long as you pay attention to scale and make it look intentional rather than accidental, mixing genres of furnishings can be beautiful AND interesting.
Put self-expression first. A truly beautiful home is one that is a reflection of YOU and your familiy. When I work with clients they each inspire me with their personalities, interests, histories, and lifestyles. What works for one client will never really work for another. When you are working on decorating your home, pay attention to what makes your heart sing. And then go for it!
In tribute to Domino we would like to offer you up to 20% off any of the items featured in the last magazine that we carry. Please feel free to contact us with questions about what we can source for you. I am including some highlights below.
